(Flute instrumental song, by Coyote has a sombre spiritual seriousness. Coyote wrote this song about his life in Utah and how he summed it up at that point in his life. Coyote's apartment was located on 500 South Street, or "5th South," as it was referred to in Salt Lake City, Utah.)
"From Within"

Performed by American Zen

(Physical Graphitti by Led Zeppelin could've included this song. "From Within" shows a further developed spirituality into the LEVEL 3 of Zen Buddhism. In the first album, Coyote was complaining about being held down, "Black Of Night," and "Whose Heaven Is This?" During the second album-level, Coyote seemed to be hovering above his Mormon neighbors and he saw all the facets of their life and religion, the Church of Latter Day Saints. Now, for their third level, "From Within," Coyote seems determined, patient, compassionate, and without resentment states, "I do not want to argue / you can stay as you are / I'll pass by here soon again / maybe you'll be ready then..."
INTRO SONG:
"Great Salt Lake"

(From the cd, Level 2 = Christ Killer, recently released by Shaolin Records. Coyote's flute playing was originally inspired by Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull.)
"Peace Of Mind #1"
Performed by American Zen
From the album: LEVEL 3 = I Want You To Love Me

("Peace Of Mind" was supposed to be the first song of the first album by American Zen. Here it is with the love of a Paul McCartney song and the witty lyrical satire of Bob Dylan.)
